Quest for Printers

Hi - I'm hoping to print a small (48pp) Cherokee-language children's book with a color cover, most likely saddle-stitched, with a run of at least 1000. Are there any affordable printers in the Bay Area that you are can recommend? This subject came up a while ago and whitehallprinters.com was mentioned but I see that link is dead and Galaxy Press was suggested. Their website is woefully unfinished, which makes me a little nervous, but if people had good experiences with them, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks so much!

You might try Regent Press in Oakland. He's a good guy. I don't know what his prices are like, though.

Nice, thanks - I'll get a quote from them. It looks like Galaxy Press blew me off.

Are you totally set on doing it locally? I have some awesome folks up in Canada. But then, of course, you'd have to pay for shipping.

P.S. Looking forward to that next art show! This time I'm gonna try & bring the boys, or at least Joe. Carrolling Pat is, ya know, like herding drunkedn Irish cats . . .

You're in luck, because I'm doing Open Studios this weekend. Will send out full info - but basically it's at 689 Bryant at 5th. Good luck herding Pat the Bunny! Ciao, A
