Hi, I'm new to this group and it looks like no one has posted here in a while. I'm looking for work in page layout/type setting/production in the SF Bay Area. Does anyone have any tips for me? I'm fairly new to this business - I worked full time at desktop publishing company in production for about 10 months until the owner decided to close the company and since then I have been doing freelance work while working full time as a receptionist. I would love to go back to full time in this field. Finding a job is tough. Thanks for any leads or tips you can give.

PM me for the link to my Yahoo group, which is much more active than this (this is my group too, under an alt, for all the usual professional reasons). As I'm sure you know, things are tight right now, due to the economy, but I have seen some things going past. Wilderness Press was looking for a layout person the other day, and my company hires freelance contract production folks occasionally.
